The company started as a small butcher's shop below Kalvária, which soon became famous and expanded into a large butcher's shop owned by Eduard Rovner, who expanded production in 1889 by purchasing the adjacent Fišer property.
The products of the company, called “Export of hams and steam-powered smokehouse Eduard Rovner in Jaroměřice u Jevíčka,” were exported beyond the country's borders, mainly to Vienna.
